Another name you mentioned... Where is Bob Richardson now? I met him twice
at
the Colorado Railroad Museum ... last time was about 1980. Maybe ten years
ago
he popped into the Baltimore Streetcar Museum. We chatted. And he went
home ... >>
About four years ago Bob finally retired as curator of the Colorado RR Museum
in Golden and returned to Bellfonte PA (near State College) to live. I
believe he has a sister living there. I saw him in Indianapolis the year he
was heading back this way.
Looked great then, white hair like you Fred. He has just published a book on
his years in Colo. until the demise of the narrow gauge. I think it is due
out this month.
I didn't mention Gary Dillon, from Akron who I believe worked for the
Salvation Army. I would drive him home from fan trips in Pittsburgh to
Canton and drop him off at the Greyhound terminal. I think Gary was on every
fan trip in the United States, or at least knew about them, as well as
expounding on traction lines from coast to coast.
He had (has) a decided limp which you might remember but I enjoyed the trips
back with him.
