When I visited Tri City Traction in Bluefield, their were no interstates or turnpikes.
My Trailways bus went US 1 to Washington, change to Greyhound to Roanoke.
Then Consolidated bus line of W Va to Bluefield.  It took about 24 hours.

On this trip, I stopped in Roanoke and rode the trolley there.  The had a Grand
Union.  One in Bethlehem also I believe.
