I plead guilty to having the "map." Got it out of abandonment files at the
PUC. It's rough but sort of workable. Where I have trouble is the
alignment after the track crossed today's PA 982 and headed for Derry.
I have the HABS/HAER Westmoreland County book. Their "histories" are
superficial because their researchers look only in obvious places. The
Fayette County counterpart is atrocious in this respect. That one couldn't
even get the names of the creeks straight...and they're all listed on
everyday maps!

Yeah. Let's talk about something else. How about the Westmoreland County
Railways?
There was a discussion about it in July of 2000 to the net effect that
someone had an abandonment map from the PSC, that someone in the know said
that map was approximately correct, and not a whole lot else, and one in
October 2001 about still-standing barns which mentioned the one in Derry.
The HABS/HAER inventory of Westmoreland County includes some commentary on
the barn which I will share shortly.
