Sure do remember Slim Bryant -- was the group a Dormont
local or did they just open the shop here?
Still remember the mid-day leaving times for the 42-Dormont
in the latter 1950s, early 1960s::

.......past the hour from the wye. Could see the cars
leaving from the top floor of the high school -- used to
check to make sure they were on time!
And the first owl thru to Mt.Lebanon (ORIGINAL 42/38) was
at 1.30 followed by 3-more trips - one each hour with one car
all night!

Also at that time, Slim Bryant owned a card shop just up the
street from the theater, on Potomac Avenue near the route 42
trolley crossing. Old timers will remember his daily country
musicTV show ("Slim Bryant and the Wilcats") on WDTV channel 3
- later KDKA-TV channel 2.
