I am glad,Jim , you guys are getting a big chuckle out of my foggyness about what scheme that car #1711 had. I have no idea what it had. Pardon moise while I go look at Daves Rail Pix for a couple hours . Be back at you when I find out. cheers, chuckle, guffaw, ha ha rogertrolley
Good luck finding another photo of 1711 in the o/w/o scheme. It took me over 2 years to find this one. Maybe the caption is why I missed it.
I did notice that the cars that were painted in 1975 and not earlier had black numbers and no giant PAT logo on the side. Just a "Pattransit" logo either beside the door or above the headlight. 1717 was the same way and, like 1711, was painted in 1975 to this scheme.
I'd love to find a photo of a freshly painted o/w/o 1711 circa 1975. Thanks to John Bromley, I have an excellent photo of a freshly painted gray#2 1711. I loved the photo so much that I had a SPTC model made with a "Library" sign.
How 'bout it guys? Look through those collections to see if you can find one.
