Dunno
But there is a vague recollection that other such wooden structures were
located at other loops on the system.
Now why would there be a need to secure the trolley pole to the side of the
car with the trolley wheel accessible from a wooden platform?? A quick-fix
of a damaged trolley wheel?? maybe. To gain access to the car roof with
trolley pole out of the way?? not likely. What about to gain access to end
of trolley pole to replace/repair of a broken trolley rope?? most likely.
There's my three guesses with probabilities. OK, who worked for the
company.
