Yes. It was a privately owned toll bridge. When WV route 2 was made into an
expressway, rampts to the bridge were built. In Ohio, the bridge ended about
20 feet above the new OH route 7 expressway. No ramps were built. The
bridge was simply chopped off at the toll booths so the piers in the way of
the expressway could be removed. If you drive down the West Viurginia side
you see simply barriers across the bridge ramps. Probably does not meet
today's weight standards for bridges.
