I remember a photo Christmas card from John Baxter of some snow-bound route
56 McKeesport cars during the 1951 snow storm. Shame on me for never asking
him if he had got stuck in the snow on one of these cars, or if he took the
photo when crews went to retreive these snowbound cars. At least I always
assumed that it was one of John's photos.
And yes, I get the picture. For some 25 years I worked in two government
agencies; one of which is very dictatorial, and the other allows employees
to be proactive. The former provided a good example of what NOT to do when
I was working at the latter.
