The language continues to evolve, doesn't it.  A "trolley" is also the dessert cart on which the waiter in an English restaurant rolls that delightful and delectable trifle to you ... a great way to get rid of stale while cake by
smothering it in berries and other fruit and irish whiskey or rum and pudding and clotted cream.
