Hoo-ha! :-) You tell, 'em, Bob! I never rode a Pittsburgh PCC during that era,
but I remember riding transit elsewhere and getting the finest view in the
house, er, bus. :-)
I do remember one incident, July 4, 1982. We were riding the 42/38 in a 1700,
I believe the U of P car. The motorman's girlfriend was riding with him. She
was wearing painted on jeans, had a gorgeous, pear shaped "seat cushion",
incredibly long legs and spent the entire trip from Mt. Lebanon to Downtown
standing next to the guy, bent over his shoulder. My girlfriend, Cindy, and I
were in the seat directly behind the single fan seat near the front door.
Cindy was too terrified of the trestles to notice I was enjoying an equally
spectacular view.
