[PRCo] 1974 Detours

Good suggestion, Fred. I have photos of disabled cars drifting backwards,
appearing to be running on the on the wrong side of the street or passing
siding, parked on a piece of long-abandoned track, etc. I've made notes on
such slides that I myself took, but often photo captions don't explain
what's happening in the photo.

used to this new e-mail system. Anyway, what doesn't make sense about a
Drake car on the 38A loop is just that. It is on the actual loop. Instead of
heading straight past the loop switch, the car took the turn in the large
38A loop. The PERC map of 1959 does not show a connection to the outbound
interurban lines from here. A car could get onto the 37 loop then join the
interurban inbound, but not outbound. Maybe PAT made a connection to the
outbound trackage in later years(the photo was from 1974, the PERC map
1959). This is where I'm confused. In the photo, the Drake car is clearly on
the part of the 38A loop most adjacent to Castle Shannon Blvd. The slide I
have of a 35 car on the 37 loop is another confusing shot. Perhaps a COT car
as mentioned in previous posts?
