Greetings

It was not the concept that failed...it was politics in Rochester
and the hate of street cars by Public Service in Newark.

Public Service wanted to change over to trolley buses and
use the concept.  Citizens and riders groups managed to hang
on to the Newark subway #7 route

With proper credit to Public Service, once they were made to
buy the PCC cars, they ran the subway to high standards of
service and maintenace.  They were a very well run operation
but were against streetcars,
