So what do ya think fellas? Any old-timers out there that can tell if this
seat actually came from Pittsburgh? Not that I'm interested. Just curious.

Item Description:
Old Railway Train Streetcar Trolley Conductor Seat
DescriptionNO RESERVE
This auction is for a very Old Streetcar / Trolley Conductors Seat. I bought
this seat a few years ago with the intent of using it as the throne for a
model railroad empire that I was planning to build (another one of those
great ideas that never developed) I was told this seat was removed from an
old Street car that came from the Pittsburgh, PA area. This wonderful old
Conductors seat comes complete with its original cast iron base that has
about 98% of its original green paint intact and in great shape, It also has
its original mounting plate. The seat has a wooden and steel frame that is
covered with a very thick leather type material that is red in color and
appears to be 100% original. The seat spins 360 degrees and is well built
and very sturdy, This is a seat that was built to last!
This unique find is quite compact as I am sure space on a street car was
limited, The entire assembled seat stands approx 31 inches to the top of the
backrest, The pedestal base stands 16 & 5/8ths inches tall and measures 7 X
7 inches at the foot of the base, The seat bottom is approx 13 & 1/4 inches
wide and about 13 inches long, And the seat back is approx 13 X 13. This
wonderful old Conductors Seat is in remarkable condition for its age and
will make the perfect addition to any railroad, Train, or railway
collection, If you like unusual Railroadiana then this is for you!
