Hi Matt and all,

I sent out an email last week about Ron's Books.  They are at the bindery in
Toronto and are almost finished.  We tried to have some at the East Penn
Show this weekend, but we could not do it.  So I had advertising about the
book there.  Ron is not a member of this site and is not on the internet.

Fred Schneider did not make the meet to speak about Birneys.  Evidently, he
was taken to the hospital Thursday (?) evening.

Here is the text of the other email mentioning special pricing through the
Berkshire Car Shop:

Ron Beal's PITTSBURGH RAILWAYS book Vol. 1 will be leaving the bindery soon
and should be available about May 15th!!  At last, a book about a property
that has had little written about it, but was a fabulous system.  This
volume is a huge text--560 pages, about 500 illustrations.  I can provide a
table of contents for any of the volumes.  Ron tried to work with many
publishers and decided to self-publish the text.

Ron spent a good deal of money to publish these books, and we would like to
get sales started rapidly.  The book has a retail price of $80 hardbound and
$65 softbound.  There is a $6.00 shipping and packaging fee.

They will NOT be available at the East Penn Traction show.  Just could not
make it happen.
Delivery from the bindery about May 15th and books will ship shortly
thereafter.

Also available is the Grande hardbound text which covers the Oregon
Electric, Inland Empire and United Railways of the Pacific Northwest.  Over
114 pages and 116 photos plus maps and text on the Oregon Electric alone!
184 pages of trolley cars in this 464 page SP&S book by Grande. The Oregon
Electric material is fabulous!  Photos that I have never seen, maps,
aerials, etc.  Again, a self-published text of very high quality.

Originally a $75 book.  (Its companion volume of non-electric lines material
has sold out and is selling for over $175. a copy.)  Domestically shipped
without tax and payment by check, this book is available for $55.  (This is
a $5 increase from the original Trolley Talk ad price due to additional
shipping costs.)  Supplies are limited.  Pay Pal and other payment options
available.
