Let's not forget the Ile de France. She resumed her role as French Line flagship after WW II. After being replaced by the France (now the Norway), she was sold to Japanese scrappers. But the makers of the movie "The Last Voyage" used her in the film and actually sank her to make things more realistic. After the filming was over, she was raised and cut up.

The Ile de France was also a major player in the rescue of passengers and crew from the Andrea Doria after her collision withe the Stockholm during July, 1956.
