Greetings to all

I lived in NewYork City on Manhattan.

The day the Normandie burned I was at the 42d Street Library after school.
Coming out of the library, I was hit with the black smoke and the sound
of fire engines. I followed the engines down to 12th Ave and there was the
ship burning up at about 45th Street. Quite a sight. I got quite close.

There was an interesting fiction book later about this that claimed it
was sunk by an Italian midget submarine and a planted gefrman terrorist.
Good story.
