My figures on the last up-date were way off on totals. Todays paper puts totals as:  745,829 acres burned--3375 homes destroyed---deaths 20--- firefighters deployed to fight this 14,179-- rain in the San Bernardino Mts causing mud slides yesterday and closed Rt 18 between Crest Forest and Rt 138. More to come as more rain is forcast today and Monday. The firefighters came from Arizona,New Mexico,Nevada, Northern Cal. and Bay Area, as well as several other fire depts in several Calif.town and cities. Several thousand have been released due to rains dampening down flames in several areas. Too bad it didn't come sooner.   rogertrolley
