Ed!

	Reporting is ok -- math and interpretation might be amiss.

	The opening line of the commentary from Dennis is listed
here:::::::

> It was 43 years ago July 10 when Pittsburgh's Homewood
> Carhouse, the scene of a 1955 fire which destroyed
> 11 PCC cars, including prototype all-electric 1600,
> was closed, leaving the shops there.

	It may be better to rewrite this with the majority of the
sentence as parenthetical as follows:::::::

	It was 43 years ago July 10 when Pittsburgh's Homewood
Carhouse, -*-((the scene of a 1955 fire which destroyed 11 PCC
cars, including prototype all-electric 1600,))-*- was closed,
leaving the shops there.

	Thus 2003 minus 43 equals 1960 when Homewood Car House was
closed. Also of note about Homewood is that it was victim of a
fire in 1955 that..........

	West End was definitely defunct of revenue trolleycar operations
in 1960.

But in 1955, the West End had four years to run. I was directing
my comment to the sloppy reporting!

Was 43 years ago! Seems to me that PRCo did not require any place
to store operable cars at West End in 1960. But might be wrong...
I was "minus 17" years old in those days.

    with the similar tantalisation that something,
