Hello, photo crowd.
I was working on my article for Trolley Fare in recent days and
came across these photos I took on the way down to the college to
pick up Sarah on the morning of November 1. Seems the Library
line was shut down and they were working on it . Thinking that
we have more than a couple of PRCophiles in the group I am
attaching the photos I took that morning.
The work centered at Washington Junction where they were putting
in new buildings that I understand are for the signal system.
That's the photo with the big crane in it. There was one
building about to be unloaded and a second on a trailer down at
the corner of Connor Road and Library.
As I drove south and tried out all the Bethel Park secret
passages I came down the street Lindemer (wrong spelling?) Stop
and encountered the crew doing trackwork in the "dip" and the
Plasser Tamper parked at the bottom.
At Slater's (near Lytle Road and the BP Municipal Center) the
authority is putting in a superdooper new station, park and ride
lot and substation. They had single laned the traffic there
and I confused the flagperson early in the morning with marginal
this camera through the windshield shot. As you may know the
Montour Railroad bridge at this location for years has long since
been dismantled and hauled away.
At Sarah Street (near George Tucker's house) and King School two
more crews were doing some landscaping and general clean up.
So, until the next weakly report (which won't be tonight) there's
your Pittsburgh Points for September/October.
This is CuZinBruce...Stay Safe, be alert and keep smilin'.
