You are correct. 1613 and 1614 were built with B-2 trucks, received
experimental B-3s during 1946 and were the pioneer interurban PCCs. They later
reverted to B-2 trucks. Most of the other 1600s equipped with B-3 trucks
retained theirs to the end of their service lives. Car 1644 never received B-3
trucks, a pilot nor a spotlight and reverted to city service when the 1700
series interurbans arrived. But even so, it retained a roof mounted hook to
carry a spare trolley pole (another interurban feature) well into the PAT era.
