And just within the last few years, Boston had to change all the Riverside line poles as the bases were rusted out because they were placed in the lineside drainage ditches. Now they have this U shaped support system like the Northeast Corridor. Two uprights and a connector across the top to hold it all together.  cheers rogertrolley
