That Drake photo would be a great start if you can find it Fred.
I suppose track removal was not something that was photographed often,
if at all. I'm just trying to find remnants of r.o.w. immediately
south of the Drake and Simmons termini. Drake and Simmons Loops were
the farthest points I ever got to see, so it would be interesting to
me to find 1953-55 shots of these points looking south.
I took some photos of the removal of Drake Loop and Brookside Siding
in 2001 if you recall. Derrick posted them. Maybe I'm just a "die-
hard", but I'm hoping there were others who were around to take photos
of some of the interurban track removal. To some, this might make a
boring photo, but to me, it's fascinating.
Please see if you can find the Drake photo Fred. I would greatly
appreciate it. From what I've seen, your photos are outstanding!
Thanks a bunch!
Mark

I know of one 89 year old man who took a color slide but I doubt that you
are going to get anywhere. It was just tangent double track that faded
into the grain of the film. Somewhere around here I have a picture taken
looking south off the north abutment at Drake in 1958 showing a car
beneath me in the loop and the abutment on the far hill.
