The wire was still up for a while but nothing used it regularly.  We took
1707 around the loop one Sunday morning on a charter.

 I guess the old 44 loop around 12th, Penn, 11th was kept in service
after the abandonment of rt. 44 in 1971?  This particular photo shows
1707 painted in it's "mod" scheme and photo is labeled 1973. If this
is indeed the case, why did PAT keep this section operational? This
photo has to be a fantrip as JFB noted previously.
