Fred ! I just checked the Pennsylvania Trolley lines book that Benson Rohrbeck published and mention is made there-in of the Johnstown and Somerset Ry. that connected to the Windber line. They ran to Jerome and had 2 cars delivered in 1922. One is pictured in Johnstown downtown page 150 of Ben's book. It is a dbl truck Birney type. The financial condition of this operation was poor and one of their cars was turned over to the Johnstown Traction for arears payment on track rental. Sept.5 1931 ended this lines operation into Johnstown. The 1936 flood wiped out this line and the Windber Line. The car they got must have been assimilated into the JTC car roster. Anybody got any idea what number it became ?? The car pictured was #10. cheers rogertrolley Ps pix in Ben's book shows PRC trailers of center door type hauled by regular cars. Didn't know they had such cars there .
