Why do people persist in believing the reported opinions of politicians?

So how does Buffalo LRT ridership compare with Cleveland's Shaker rapid LRT
lines? With New Orleans St. Charles line?

Similarly, how does San Jose light rail ridership compare with Pittsburgh?
With Baltimore? With Sacramento? With Denver?

Just remember Fred - just as I cheat with opinions on history by looking
through PUC testimony and news articles, I also cheat with opinions on
transit usage by looking at the federal section 15 reports.
