  And the e-mail I recieved looked as though it was coming from
Microsoft. Whatever you do guys, DON'T OPEN THE URL's! 
  I made this mistake a few weeks ago. Thought Microsoft was sending me
an anti-virus patch. I downloaded what I thought was helping me and that was that. It was easily eradicated thanks to Symantec and McAfee.
 Microsoft even states that they will never send something to download
through an e-mail. They will ALWAYS direct you to one of their websites.
