Anne and Marion were devotees of the beloved Davey Lawrence, who disliked
the streetcar company not only because New Deal Democrats of that era were
supposed to dislike businesses but because he couldn't ectract any $$$ from
them.  That gang tried hard to get some of the company's surplus cash when
it was reorganized but I don't think they were successful.  Ed Tennyson was
there and would remember.
