[PRCo] Changed to costs

You could all move to rural Armstrong County. We are only a 45 minute
drive from dahntahn and have absolutely no public transit access to anywhere
outside of the county. Utilities are relatively cheap, gas is still under
$1.70, insurance is inexpensive (no one here to steal your car) and the
housing market is definitely on the buyers side.
Oh, and to make things even better, the local Eljer Plumingware plant
(the largest non institutional employer in the county) has just announced
the layoff of almost 50% of their staff. Employees with up to 17 years of
service will have their jobs terminated by fall 2004. Recession?? What
recession? We have not had an upturn since before the wage and price
freezes of the Nixon era.
On the down side, route 28 near Pittsburgh is undergo a multi year
reconstruction project that will slow that commute time down quite a bit.
Alive and living on the edge in Pennsyltuckey, this is your lost in the
woods list member signing off.
