Evidently another new Pittsburgh book in the making fellas. The
author, Roger DuPius, has a website that I saw way back when. He's
looking for some photos. Unfortunately, I can't help him with earlier
material as most(if not all) of the photos I have are copywrighted.
Anyone interested in helping can contact Roger. His e-mail address is
included with this forwarded post.

Alan,
I thought I'd pass along a list of the Pittsburgh photos I'm seeking for my
book. Obviously, I know this is a tall order -- and likely more than any one
person is likely to have in their collection. I'm just getting the word out.
Here goes:
1950s
1.) Any pictures of the West End lines, if possible (i.e. those which closed
in 1959)
2.) A good view of "Queen Mary" car 1600, which burned in 1955.
3.) A good pre-rebuilding shot of 1630 (had ventilator hump on roof).
1960s
1.) Geographical coverage. My goal is to get 5-10 pics each from DOWNTOWN,
NORTH SIDE, SOUTH SIDE/SOUTH HILLS and EAST END.
2.) Any good carhouse shots.
3.) PCC scrapping photos.
1970s-80s
1.) Rebuilt (4000) series cars in all color schemes (PAT stripes as well as
the early red and white version)
2.) 1700s in the late PAT yellow/white and PAT stripes scheme
3.) Late shots of the 1600s (incl. 1700-series rebuilds)
4.) Late shots of advertising/special scheme cars
5.) A good view of the Triple Treat car
6.) LRV-style PCC rebuilds
7.) Car 1713 in its Pittsburgh Railways 1980s re-paint scheme
8.) Any good views of PCCs leaving the upper mouth of the Mount Washington
tunnel both before and after the tunnel rebuild
9.) Any good views of PCCs operating alongside buses on the busway portion of
the Overbrook line
10.) Any good view of PCCs operating on the sections of Overbrook where the
tracks were buckled and wavy.
Thanks. Still probing a few publishers. They all want to see photo samples,
which is why I am sending out inquiries to collectors all over the place.
