There will always be those who choose to be destructive instead of
constructive...doesn't matter whether it involves nations, businesses or
individuals. Fact is that neither Canada or the US got where they are via
the destructive route. Let's not let the demagogues wear us down, no matter
what side of a border or an ocean we happen to live on. They're generally
unproductive people who have no alternatives to suggest...just complaints
about what others do.

If we don't like what's happening in our own land, we can change it at the
ballot box...if we vote...but not every nation has that luxury. We do need
to take stock of our own good fortune from time to time, don't we? But the
real matter is that we all need one another.

Subject: [PRCo] US APPRECIATION

In past months too many Canadians have taken to US bashing with about as
many agendas as there are bashers.
These feelings generally do not match the majority of those living here.
There are always weirdos and idiots (including crossovers between
categories) and frankly most Canadians are sick of them. Generally these
people do what they do because they like the spotlight.

Anyway, a column in today's Toronto Sun should be read by Americans as it is
more in line with the thoughts of the majority here.

And Derrick - for relevancy I believe Pittsburgh railfans to be Americans
(correct me if I'm wrong) - for those others reading this perhaps the group
forum is not the platform for continued commentary.

Enjoy.
