I wouldn't want to go too far with this thread, but I don't believe any
political party is widely known for spending money prudently (unless, of
course, you're the recipient, in which case it's always prudent). It's like
the deficit...I've come to learn that it's an issue only to the party not in
control of Congress. Oh, yes, it may also be significant to the
taxpayers -- or more properly, their children -- who will ultimately have to
pay the bills! But taxpayers don't count...they just vote. And after
they've voted, they still don't count.
Cynical? Sadly, yes.

Going back in time...you can blame this on the folks in
Mt Lebanon who wanted the cars off of Washington Road
and I believed that Republicans spent money prudently.
