  I f you go to the more recent e-mail I sent to the list you will
see that Corgi has indeed produced the 1730 Mod Desire. I have seen
the picture on the www.diecastdirect.com website. It will be
available in Jan. 2005. They are taking preorders. 
  I am, however, a bigger fan of the SPTC cars as they are much more
detailed and basically flawless. I started collecting the Corgis
before I even knew about SPTC so I continued to do so.
  Many flaws in the Corgi cars including a very obvious 1753 in
red/white/blue. PAT never had a 1700 series car painted in that
scheme. I did note one difference in the Mod Desire from the picture:
they added the roof headlight.
