Much more likely to happen in the U. S. than in Europe.  We used single
point switches.  Most European operations used double point switches.  My
short term memory is foggy ... I think, however, that I saw a lot of
American-style single point switches in St. Petersburg this year.  The
double point switches provide a clue to the high speed German, Swiss, French
and Dutch operation through switches.
