Greetings to Fred and all

We are spending a lot more on printing dollar bills.
They are expensive.

Canada has used $2 bills for decades with no problem.
They have a good $1 coin

Each dollar bill we use costs a lot to reprint.

Coin machines need $1 coins to give change. They can refund bills.

Ticket machines on NJ Transit give $1 coins as change. If I buy a senior one way to NY from Morristown, I can use a $5 or 10 bill and get coins back. Much more convenient than exact change to pay fare.

Rapid transit and commuter rail favor $1 coins. Whats the problem?

Question......Do Baltimore LRT machines give change?
