I unfortunatly ,live in Kalifornia (Gov.Swartzeneger country) but make a yearly trek back there to see PTM,Model Trolley Meets,KIDS AND GRANDKIDS in Mass. The Cleveland or Trolleyvile Model Trolley meet made me look up Lake Shore Elec. R-O-W as did the last trip thru West Penn territory where all sorts of R-O-W exists. I am a tracer type when it comes to old R-O-W's. Lake Shore Elec.Ry. ,by the way, to include Pittsburgh area, became a bus operation after 1938 and actually had an interstate line with orange buses that came to Pittsburgh. Probably people were mystified to see a Lake Shore Lines bus so far from any lake of any size!! Any way, LSE left Cleveland on Clifton Blvd to Rocky River then paralleld roads to Lorain. Ceylon Jct station is still there as is Vermillion,in the center of town after paralleling CSX ? RR. Was a bank but now something else. Power lines are a good indicator sometimes of carlines former path. West Penn sure followed them ! The road leading down to Beach Park is called Interurban Blvd and the former R-)-Wjust south of main road. Didn't go beyond Celon Jct. where line was along the lake shore north of main road. Line to Norwalk went south from there across the main road. You can drive up private driveway there to see station(an ugly cement block bldg with the name on it,so close to lake it may disappear one of these winters! Just tell the people there what you are doing!! All the still pix I took on this trip were destroyed by airlplane x-ray as I stupidly put them in the suitcase so need to come back and re-do this trip. CHEERS Rogertrolley PS my video footage of Trolleyville etc survived ,including footage of their PRC car running along their line.
