Derrick and Marc (and all the others on the list)
Marc..please remove your request to quit the list. You have contributed
much
to my enjoyment and knowledge...such as the 3 PCC cars at Rankin..
Railfans come from many walks of life. This is a list of railfans and
you are
one. A major photographer of PRC was Charles Dengler, a mailman on
Pittsburgh's NorthSide. He carried his camera while delivering the mail
and took many shots of the special paint jobs on 22 Crosstown.
Charles Dengler was my initial contact when I moved to Pgh after
graduation from NYU. Prior to that, he and Lazear Israel arranged
the ERA's weekend fan trips on West Penn and PRC. That was my
first visit and I owe much to them. The question never came up that
he was a mailman. He was a leading part of our hobby and preserved
much of the PRC history at the time.
So, Marc.....stay with us. I personally want to continue to receive
your photos
and questions.
