Washington city lines were abandoned as follows:
May 2, 1953 was last day of scheduled service on W-4 East & West. I believe
May 16 was the last day for W-5 North Washington. W-1 Jefferson & Maiden
closed June 20, along with the car house at Tylerdale. The interurban was
based out of South Hills (Tunnel) for the final summer.
I believe Donora was abandoned June 27, same as Charleroi. I'm doing a lot
of this from memory; the complete records are at the PTM Library & I'm not
there this weekend.

Good question. Here is another one for our archives.
When were Washington City lines abandoned?
Also when was Donora abandoned?
