Concerning the stub track at PRR station:

"Beechview 43 and Knoxville 44 land passengers at the foot of the steps
leading from the esplanade in front and at right of the station"
"There are two other carlines that can be taken at the foot of the steps
from the Pennsylvania Station esplanade, both turning off Liberty Avenue and
going to the North Side, or the former city of Allegheny. These cars are
numbers 6, Brighton Road, and 7 Charles Street."
Pittsburgh was still a double-end city at this time.
