Nothing has been officially decided yet about access to the building. Many
operators do not have a key to it, and the contents are not entirely ready
for prime time, as is being discussed here. Also, don't forget there is a
hike up a grade from the trolley line...not good for elderly or handicapped,
or in inclement weather. Yet it IS a display building, and there will be
some accessibility. One of the scenarios that has been talked about is a
once-daily guided tour at X:00 p.m. That may be the easiest approach in the
face of limited accessibility.
There will also be conservation/restoration activity inside the building.
Ten cars have to be made ready for display in the next building; I can
assure you that ALL of them need work! Some of it's very minor (such as
with PAT 4004, for example) but a lot of it is not. Visitors in the
workplace present problems to both the guests and the workers, so some means
of dealing with this issue will also have to be found.
I would suggest, however, that a PTM member might have a good chance of
seeing the contents on a more flexible schedule than will the general
public.

There has been a lot of discussion over how frequently the building will be
open.

fair side of one size was removed for that "Diner" effect. But i didn't
notice what it was sitting on. I imagine that the one side can be recreated
using the other side as a guide, but I am guessing its restoration is pretty
far down the list. PTM will just have to do the same as I do to my antique
toys, display it with the bad side to the wall.

its sitting on a flatcar or some kind of borrowed, swapped or stolen
interurban trucks?
