Greetings to all

Comunications between nations is a two way street. In the same way
that you mention that many Canadians dont share on US bashings, I would
also add that most Americans dont agree with anti-Canadian bashing./

We have some right wing radio shows that advocate cancelling Canadian
vacations and not eating Canadian bacon. These people are just as loony

Canada is an independent nation, not the 51st state. We have a long
history of living and working together. In wars in this century we were
usually together. Our air defense was thru a joint Norad. Our navys
are closely coordinated. Canada is a full member of NATO. Canadiians
are serving in peace keeping forces with US forces. This is true also
with Germany with thousands of troops on duty in Afganstan.

Our long joint border is something to be proud of. On the other hand,
Canada
must tighten their immigration.

Many industries are common to both. Autos, railroads, airlines, hotel, etc
know no border. We buy railroad cars from a Canadian company and buses
from three Canadian outfits.. APTA has long been a two nation association..
Railfan groups and professional associations are common.

Many US live in Canada and commute into Detroit or Buffalo

Not every American supports this war. We should not judge our friends by
their feelings.. In the long run, we all need each other. Canada, Germany
and yes even France.

I have been visiting Canada since 1945 when as a teenager, I was invited to
to stay with Anthony Clegg (CN historian) and to meet Omer S A Lavalee,
CP historian. Their diversity suggests there is room for every one.

TTC, Montreal Metro, Calgarey/Edmonton and BC are pace setters for
transit on both sides of the border. Hockey and baseball are common.
To the few Americans who dont undertand that we need the entire
world, too bad.

A good friend of mine in the Tarentum Pa Rotary club was a US enlistee
in the RCAF in l939.. North Atlantic subs sank both nations ships.
Normandy included Canadian forces.

Americans should read the editorial and also apply it to their
own thinking

I like it when both national anthems are played sideby side,
