My notes indicate that 4398 was *sold* to PERC on
1956.04.05. The car last saw service in 1952 on 98-Glassport and was
held in reserve at Glenwood by PRCo until 1956 *just--in--case.*

*Arden Trolley Museum and Its Cars* published by PRMA in
1967 indicates that 4398, along with 3487, were in long time storage at
Glenwood until September--1960 at which time the cars were moved to
tunnel and then trucked to Arden.

Also in the archives is extensive quotation of the PERC //
PRMA // PTM article(s) of that first trip to the museum with M1, WP-832,
and 3756. *Later* on that day (1954.02.07) a *speeded--up*
Double-End car was sent to County Home Siding to pick up the railfans
and return them to Pgh. The car number was listed in those articles
but not able to put my finger on it at the moment. Would have been
nice if tht car could have been saved -- or if 4398 had made that
trip -- just for sake of nostalgia.
