Were Canonsburg and Thompsonville subs still operating or were they feeding
the entire line out of Washington Junction by then. I can only assume that
Tylerdale was cut off by then because there were no tracks for the ground
circuit. When is *By--Then?* This is February--1954 --
Washington line terminated at Drake after August--1953, or Walther's until
Drake loop opened and power was turned off. The article in PTM
*Trolley__Fare* indicated that the Thompsonville sub was turned on for the
move of the museum cars to County Home; nothing mentioned about Canonsburg
but insinuation was that Thompsonville was supplying all current for the
museum move. Article also said that PERC members took turns running
WP-832 to near Tylerdale and back until the cars were boarded up for
storage.

And that mysterious appearance of 4398 on 10-West View was
possibly part of the 1955 PERC charter which covered many of the North Side
lines, including the 10- and 15-lines; this identified several times here
(but snipped from this post because of length.)

*Later* on that day (1954.02.07) a *speeded--up* Double-End car was sent to
County Home Siding to pick up the railfans and return them to Pgh. The car
number was listed in those articles but not able to put my finger on it at
the moment. Would have been nice if tht car could have been saved -- or if
4398 had made that trip -- just for sake of nostalgia. Jim Holland Good
Morning! Of course I know exactly where is this information! I cut page-10
out of the Sept.--Oct--1996 Trolley__Fare and put it in my
Washington__Interurban photo album. The DE Low-Floor car which took the fans
back after delivering the first 3-PERC cars was 4393! [[-- snipped --]]
