Hi Harold

Yes, but back yard to back yard. John & Trude lived on Swissvale Ave.,
while we lived on Coal St. In late 1950s we moved a couple blocks to
vicinity of Edgewood train station. That's where I got a supply of old (at
least now they are) railroad schedules. Just a small kid asking the station
agent for a copy of his outdated timetables. That too was from a different
world. Suspect kids today have other interests.

Recent letter from John mentioned that Trude celebrated her 90th birthday
last year. Mentioned that he misses your transit updates.

Remember the "streetcar" in their basement? Great fun for kids. Which now
makes me wonder how they ever put up with the racket. Something like it
might be useful entertainment for the kids visiting trolley museums.

As for the McCoy Bros. bus driver, Harold, you might remember Grant from
PennDOT.

John
