I believe Rege lived very comfortably in California doing voice-overs for
commercials. He had the voice.

Rege left Pittsburgh for Los Angeles., a radio market with many more
stations, and none of them dominates like KDKA does in Pittsburgh. As a
newcomer, he had a tough time getting a share of the audience in L.A., and
his strength - the Pittsburgh cast of characters - didn't play there.
I don't believe that Rege did much local TV in L.A., but he regularly
appeared in supporting roles on network dramtic programs.
