I'm happy to know the rest of the list members have enough surplus
intellectual capacity to meet my weak mind well beyond middle ground.

There is no "meetings of the mind" for the likes of me....just visits to my
mental doorstep by either the curious or perhaps the sympathetic. ;-)

I have some pictures of the L-6's TCRT style trolley wheel. Incidently, the
TCRT PCCs looked rather interesting with those large wheels.

I have a Roberta Hill shot of a Philadelphia trackless trolley as it is
about to pass through some kinked trolley wire. She took the photo from an
overpass and aimed the camera right down the trolley. I believe it was taken
along Route 75, but I do not recall for sure. I'll have to hunt it up when I
look for those scrapping photos you requested. Don't know what happened to
the wire, but it must have been hard on the shoes until it was repaired.

Now to get back on topic. Does Pittsburgh's catenary have those tension
adjusting weights like San Diego has? I do not recall seeing any when I was
there for the PCC Farewell in 1999, but believe it or not, this overhead
enthusiast wasn't looking for it.

K.

P.S.- 1711 should be temporarily equipped with a pantograph so PAT can
reopen the Overbrook line in style!
