This would be difficult to make work -- since pantograph doesn't move
and turn like a pole the sliding edge against contact wire should be
immediately above where trolley pole base is. Would need to make
special shaped pan arm flared upward on either end to replace trolley
wheel -- not unlik large shoe -- and this would need extensive
testing first to guarantee reliability.

Would still need some testing to insure integrity --
would be able to open the car up on Overbrook and reach cut-out speed so
we want that pan to hold up there. The only thing guaranteed to work
would be a full-fledged pan.
How was the pan mounted to 3756 when she returned for debut
of subway operations and completion of 42/38 or whatever the number route?
