I remember that, Mark. That accident made the Las Vegas papers.
Incidently, 1727, along with 1601 and 1257, were Roberta Hill's favorite
cars. She even waited at an East End toy store to take a photo of 1727
passing the sign bearing the address 1727. According to her notes, she knew
the car was on the line that day.
I do not know her reaction when she learned of this accident, but Scott
Davis told me she was quite upset when she saw slides of one of the other
cars she favored being cut up.
