Greetings to Fred and John

Problems with youth and ethgnic groups is a world
wide situation.  

For the Worlds Fair in Hanover in 2000, they purchased
a large order of new lrvs from LHB-Alston.  These new
cars made older Hanover lrvs available for sale to The Hague
and Budapest.

To increase the access for the motorman, they purchased
many of the new cars as a double unit with an open gangway
between the cars.  So instead of two seperate cars, they
had one long car where the motorman and passengers could move
the cars.

Fpor example

Former car in two car train
       Cab car, center section, cab car    and  cab car,  center
                section, cab car.

New one car train
        Cab car, center section, cab car without cab, cab car
                 without cab, center section, cab car
         There is an open gangway between the two cars
                  where the cabs used to be
These are very fancy cars painted silver and of somewhat
French styling even tho made in Germany.

Now late at night, the motorman has access to all 6 sections.
and passengers can move about.   They normally run long
lrv. trains.

One way to improve security and even save money.  Eliminates
two cabs and controls, etc and increases capacity.

One way to make the city and the subway/lrv safer
