Could it have been West View? My family never understood Kennywood
simply because Perry High School held their annual picnics at West
View. And Armstrong Cork Company (today's Armstrong World Industries)
had corporate picnics at West View. Even though we lived in the east,
parents only took me to Kennywood once. I lost could of the times we
went to West View.
Whole new subject here ... all the ethnic picnics and ethnic days ....
Italian, Ukranian, Polish, Hungarian, etc. .... with their taste
delights. Damn, I wish I knew where I could get a plate of cheese and
potato pirogies now, smothered in onions and butter.
