I still have a few of my old PRC weekly school passes from high school days,
although I traded most of them away nearly 50 years ago. By the mid-1950's,
they cost 95 cents/week, but the design of the pass and its cartoon
illustrations were the same as depicted on this ebay offering.
I also have one of the pass holders which were free -these were a cardboard
pocket folder with a cutout space around the front of the pass.
At North Catholic High School on Troy Hill (trolley route 4), there were
four theater-style windows in the wall along the main hallway, and on
Fridays, the windows would open, and PRC passes were sold to students
(about 1,200) for the upcoming week. This practice continued into the Troy
Hill route bus days after July, 1957.
